LET ME WALK YOU THROUGH THE PEDESTRIAN
The Pedestrian by Ray Bradbury is a short story about a man named Mr. Mead and his weird experience that he witnessed while taking a walk in the night. Also this story shows how dependent we are in technology. Technology has took over us and we let that happen, like in this story the police took Mr. Mead to a health center because the police expected everyone to be in their homes enjoying their technology but instead found Mr. Mead roaming around the streets taking a nice walk and the only police that was on duty thought he was some type of crazy criminal.
Mr. Mead is considered different from others. "I explained; for air, and to see, and just to walk." said Mr. Mead.
'Have you done this often?' questioned the police.
"The police car sat in the center of the street with its radio throat faintly humming." the police was confused on why Mr. mead was out when he should be inside watching t.v with his family. These quotes explain that technology has taken over us, and our time. The police takes Mr. mead to a "Psychiatric Center for Research on Regressive Tendencies." the police takes him there so they can analyze him because he's considered crazy because he cant keep up with the time , being at home on social media.
This connects to reality, with new technology. Like my teacher mentioned many kids don't even greet people anymore and also my mom told me that
